Outerblox Staff Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Applies to: All Outerblox employees, contractors,
and temporary staff
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) outlines the acceptable use of
technology, systems, data, and services at Outerblox. Its
purpose is to protect employees, clients, partners, and the
company from harm caused by misuse of our information systems
and digital resources.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all staff who access or use
Outerblox-owned or managed:
- Computers, laptops, and mobile devices
- Networks and internet connections
- Software, cloud services, and data systems
- Email and communication tools
- Client data and proprietary information
3. General Use Guidelines

Authorized Use Only: Access is for
authorized business purposes only.

Accountability: Staff are responsible for
all activity under their credentials. Password sharing is
prohibited.

Professional Conduct: Communications and
data handling must meet legal and ethical standards.

Security Compliance: Follow company
security practices, including VPN, MFA, and antivirus usage.
4. Prohibited Activities
Staff must not:

Use company resources for personal gain or illegal activity
- Install unauthorized software or applications

Circumvent security controls or access systems without
permission
- Transmit or display offensive or discriminatory content
- Share confidential information without authorization

Engage in crypto mining, torrenting, or gambling on company
systems
5. Email and Communication Tools

Email and messages are for business use and must be
professional.
- Do not send confidential data unencrypted.
- Report phishing and suspicious messages to IT.
6. Remote Work and Device Use
- Personal devices must be IT-approved and secure.

Remote access must be through approved methods (e.g., VPN).
- Report lost/stolen devices immediately.
7. Data Protection and Confidentiality
All employees must protect sensitive data, including:
- Customer records
- Source code and proprietary tools
- Internal communication and intellectual property
Unauthorized disclosure may result in termination or legal
action.
8. Monitoring and Enforcement
Outerblox may monitor systems for compliance and security.
Violations may result in disciplinary action, termination,
and/or legal consequences.
9. Acknowledgment
All staff must read, understand, and agree to this policy. Use
of company resources implies acceptance.
